SEO Case Study: Happy Heart Homes
Happy Heart Homes is a real estate investment company based out of Corpus Christi, Texas, and before joining on with Steel Marketing, Lisa, Happy Heart Homes’ owner, had done some minor SEO work herself 5 years ago, and it was good enough to get them to the top in their area at the time. As time went on, their rankings, along with call volumes, began to drop drastically to where they weren’t even found on page 1 anymore for some of the keywords they were previously at the top for. She knew the value of SEO, she knew the great quality of leads and she knew she had to do something to get back at the top to get their lead flow jump started again.
Lisa heard about Steel Marketing via Facebook, after someone had shared our page in the group. The person who shared our page was a trusted source for her, so she decided to reach out and see what we could do for her.
DAY 1 RANKINGS
Her rankings on the first day that we took over actually weren’t too terrible, but here’s the thing: they weren’t ranked #1 or #2 for most keywords. They were sitting around 4-7 for most keywords. If you remember this article we wrote, it talks about the key differences between ranking #1 or #2 vs anywhere else on page 1. Over 70% of traffic, usually, goes to the top 2 organic spots, which is just ming boggling!! Lisa’s website was the equivalent of leftover food scraps… no one wants it!

Now here’s why day 7 is important: we got her ranked in the map pack for a keyword. She began to see the phone ringing a little more after that. We then targeted more keywords for the map pack section, and she added another ranking in the map pack, then another and so on.
After just a few months into the process, her call flow was picking right back up. It was after this that Lisa had experienced the Steel Marketing effect!
